Terms of Service

How ordering works, what we promise, and what we ask of you. Written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

Last updated: September 28, 2026

The short version: the price you see when you build an order is calculated from the film your graphics need, and that is what you pay. Your artwork stays yours, and you confirm you have the right to print it. Because every transfer is made to order we cannot take general returns, but if we make a mistake we reprint it or refund it. If you skip the artwork review at checkout, we print your files as uploaded and don't reprint problems that come from the files themselves.

The rest of this page is the detail behind that summary.

01The agreement

These terms are the agreement between you and Big Water Print Co. (“we”, “us”), a printing business in Belding, Michigan, whenever you use this website or place an order with us. By creating an account or submitting an order, you accept them.

We sell to businesses and to adults ordering for their own use. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. If you are ordering on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to commit that company to these terms.

02Your account

You need an account to upload artwork and place orders. Keep your details accurate and your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away at hello@bwprint.co if you think someone else has got into it.

We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, to infringe someone else's rights, or to defraud us. If we close your account, we will still honor any order already paid for and in production, unless the order itself is the problem.

03Orders and confirmation

You upload each graphic, tell us the printed width, height and quantity, and we lay everything out on a 30.5″ wide gang sheet for you. The film length your graphics need is calculated from those sizes and quantities, and the price shown when you build the order is the price you pay. We do not adjust it afterwards.

Submitting an order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we accept it, which we may do by taking payment or by starting production. We may decline an order before it prints, in which case we refund it in full and tell you why.

04Pricing and payment

  • We price by the film your order uses: sheet width times sheet length times your rate per square inch, not by the area of your individual graphics. Every order runs on at least a 30.5″ × 50″ sheet, which is the minimum we will print.
  • Volume customers may have a negotiated rate on their account. It applies automatically to their orders, and it is specific to that account and confidential.
  • Prices, rates and any free-shipping tier are the ones displayed at checkout for that order, and we can change them at any time for future orders.
  • Payment is taken through Stripe on our checkout page. You confirm you are authorized to use the payment method you enter. Orders are quoted and charged in US dollars.
  • You are responsible for any sales, use, customs or import taxes and duties that apply, except taxes on our own income. Where we are required to collect tax, it is added at checkout and shown before you pay.

05Your artwork and the rights you give us

You keep ownership of your artwork. Nothing here transfers your designs, logos or other intellectual property to us.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, reproduce, resize, nest and print your files purely to produce the orders you place and to keep your artwork library available to you. That license ends when you delete the file or we delete it, except for the records we have to keep.

You promise the artwork is yours to print. By uploading a file you confirm you own it or have permission to reproduce it, including any logos, photographs, fonts, characters, team names and trademarks in it. We do not check ownership, and we cannot give you permission to print someone else's property.

We will refuse to print anything we reasonably believe:

  • infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, name or likeness;
  • is unlawful, defamatory, or harasses or threatens someone;
  • promotes hatred or violence against people because of who they are; or
  • is sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise illegal to produce.

If we refuse an order on these grounds we will refund it. Refusing one order does not oblige us to refuse or accept any other, and accepting an order is not our opinion that you hold the rights to it.

You agree to cover our reasonable losses, including legal costs, arising from a claim that artwork you sent us infringed someone else's rights or broke the law.

06Production, turnaround and shipping

  • Turnaround is a target, not a guarantee. Most orders ship within 1–3 business days of artwork approval. Busy periods, artwork problems, equipment faults and supply issues can push that out, and we will tell you if your order is affected.
  • We ship anywhere in North America using the carrier and service selected at checkout. Delivery estimates come from the carrier and are not promises. We are not responsible for carrier delays, weather, customs holds or a parcel that a carrier marks as delivered.
  • Get the address right. We ship to the address on the order. If it is wrong or incomplete, any reshipment is at your cost. Tell us immediately if you spot a mistake, and we will change it if the order has not shipped.
  • Risk of loss and damage passes to you when the carrier takes the parcel. If a parcel arrives damaged, keep the packaging, take photographs, and contact us so we can help with the carrier claim.
  • Shipping protection. If you selected shipping protection at checkout, we will reprint and reship, once and at no charge, an order that the carrier loses or that arrives damaged in transit. Tell us within 14 days of the delivery date, or within 30 days of the ship date if the parcel never arrives, and keep the packaging and photographs of any damage. Shipping protection covers transit loss and damage only: it is not a refund, and it does not cover an address you gave us incorrectly, a parcel the carrier marks as delivered, or problems with the artwork.
  • Where local pickup is offered at checkout, orders are collected from our shop in Belding, Michigan during business hours. We will email you when the order is ready.

07Changes and cancellations

You can cancel an order yourself from your dashboard while it is still a draft, submitted or awaiting payment, and anything you have paid is refunded in full.

Once we have started production, your transfers are being made specifically for you and the film cannot be reused. From that point an order cannot be cancelled and is not refundable, except where these terms say otherwise, such as a defect. If your plans change, contact us as fast as you can and we will help if the order has not yet gone to the printer.

08Reprints, returns and refunds

Every transfer is custom-made to your artwork and sizes, so we cannot accept general returns or change-of-mind returns. What we do stand behind is our own work.

  • If we got it wrong, we fix it. If your transfers arrive with a printing defect, the wrong sizes or quantities, or damage that happened before shipping, tell us within 14 days of delivery with photographs of the problem. We will reprint the affected pieces or refund them, whichever we judge is the better outcome for you.
  • What is not a defect. Artwork supplied at low resolution or the wrong size, colors that differ from an uncalibrated screen, and results from pressing outside our stated instructions are not production faults. Nor are the ordinary limits of the process described below.
  • Artwork review. At checkout you choose whether we review your artwork. If you add the review, a person checks each file before it prints for problems such as low resolution at the size you ordered, backgrounds that were not removed, semi-transparent pixels and lines too thin to print, and we contact you before printing if we find one. The review checks that files will print well. It does not check spelling, wording or design choices, which remain yours to approve.
  • If you skip the artwork review. We print your files exactly as you uploaded them. At checkout you confirm that they are correct and ready to print, and you agree that we will not reprint or refund an order for problems that come from the files you supplied, including low resolution, the wrong size, backgrounds or stray pixels left in the file, spelling mistakes and design errors. This does not change our responsibility for defects in our own printing.
  • Special requests. We follow the special requests you add at checkout, such as knocking out black, where your artwork allows. The result depends on the file: knocking out black removes only the black areas, so soft shadows or glows that fade into black can print unevenly. That is not a production fault.
  • Our maximum responsibility for an order is to reprint it or refund what you paid for it. We do not cover the cost of garments, labour, lost sales or other consequential losses. See the limits section below.

09Color, appearance and durability

Screens and printers reproduce color differently. Your monitor is backlit and most are not color-calibrated, so a printed transfer can look different from what you saw on screen. We print with color-managed equipment and aim for a faithful result, but we cannot guarantee an exact match to a screen, a Pantone reference, a previous run, or a print made by another supplier.

Our transfers are rated for 50+ washes when they are applied according to our instructions and washed inside-out in cold water. Durability depends on the press, the pressure, the fabric and how the garment is cared for, none of which we control, so this is a rating rather than a warranty on any particular garment.

Pressing instructions on our How It Works page are guidance based on our equipment. Heat presses vary, and fabrics vary more. Always test on a sample garment before running a full job. We are not responsible for garments damaged during application.

10Using the website

Use the site for its intended purpose. Do not try to break into it, scrape it, overload it, probe it for weaknesses, work around our security or access another customer's account, artwork or orders.

The site itself, our name, logo, photographs and written content belong to us. You may not copy them for your own commercial use. We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the service, and we do not promise the site will be available without interruption.

If you find a security problem, please report it to hello@bwprint.co rather than publishing or exploiting it. We are grateful for reports made in good faith and will not pursue you for one.

11Disclaimers

Except as these terms expressly state, the website and our products are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

12Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost sales, lost goodwill or the cost of substitute goods, even if the possibility was known.

Our total liability arising out of or relating to an order, whatever the legal theory, is limited to the amount you paid us for that order.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

13Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and both of us consent to those courts. If you are a consumer, this does not take away your right to bring a claim where the law of your home country or state entitles you to.

Before filing anything, please email us. Nearly every problem is faster to fix by talking to us.

14General

  • These terms, together with the privacy policy and anything shown at checkout for your order, are the whole agreement between us.
  • If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
  • Not enforcing a term once does not waive it.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours as part of a sale of the business.
  • We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. Changes apply to orders placed after they are posted, and continuing to use the site means you accept them.
